Dogo Argentino; Why this breed?

As many others, we also just fell in love with the amazing and distinctive appearance of Dogo Argentino. The most facinating feature of this breed is its proud, strong and full of fire carricter, wich is same time also faithful and caring. We enjoy challenge, and this breed provides challenges every day. Dogo is multifunctional, agile and smart, there is no limit to the activities you can add in its repertoir. Also one of our priorities is that a dog gets along with our children and guards our home and property.

Dogo Argentino is a way of life for us, but also a passion. We take very seriously our own breeding and individual Dogos wellbeing, but also the whole state and future of the breed in Finland and abroad. Though our own dogs we keep for pleasure and function, but we do more than just breed and operate with our own dogs.

We spent hours in gathering and spreading information and facts about the breed, we gather written information in Finnish, we keep
up contacts to Finnish and foreign breeders and we also put a lot of effort in our breed associated organisations. We have been very active in different organisations, but we have now mostly retired from these matters. After many years of presidency, Jarmo is the honorary president of Dogo Argentino Club Finland.

Our first priority is that the Dogos we breed represent the original standard and type as well in carricter as in appearance. The original function for the breed is also an important thing to cherish, though we can not hunt wild boar traditionally in our country. That is why we hope that our puppies would be kept in some active use, instead of just showing. And to accomplish all this, health of the dog is very important. We also do everything we can when we choose new owners; we hope that when a puppy leaves us, it is a home where it can live for the rest of its life.
